Birthplace:  Concord, New Hampshire.

Training:  Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh residency program.

Why I Chose Pediatrics:  The patients, of course! I love that children have such positive outlooks even when sick, tend to heal well and grow up right in front of your eyes. I love working with parents, who I know will do anything for their children, to figure out what is best for their family — both during times of illness and when they navigate the routine challenges of raising children.

Favorite Patient Age:  2-5 years old. It’s so fun to watch them explore the world, learn so quickly and say the most adorable things.

Advice For A First-time Mom:  There is a lot of pressure out there these days to be the perfect mom and follow all the rules. I like to remind parents that there are very few things I consider truly right or wrong, and it’s best to focus on what makes you happiest, fits best with your family’s priorities and allows you to feel you are doing the best for your child. Raising a baby is hard enough without the added pressure of comparing yourself to others! Also, accept any help that is offered and don’t be afraid to ask for more help when you need it.

Favorite Foods:  French fries or Brussels sprouts or pizza (with sausage, onions and mushrooms — or Hawaiian) or watermelon or ice cream or corn on the cob… I really like food!

Always In The ‘Fridge:  Yogurt, sparkling water, eggs and ice cream sandwiches.

I’d Pay To Dine With:  Taylor Swift.

Favorite Vacation Spot:  Our honeymoon to Kauai was probably the best vacation I’ve ever been on, but anywhere that I can balance relaxation with adventure and be surrounded by people I love makes me pretty happy.

What’s On Your Bucket List?  Running a half marathon (I’m not tough enough for a full one), learning to golf and lots of travel destinations (especially Thailand and India).

Who’s In Your Dream Golf Foursome?  Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake and my husband.

Now Playing On My iPod:  Justin Timberlake “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” (I generally get hooked on upbeat happy songs.)

In My Spare Time:  Spending time with my family and friends is my biggest priority these days. I love to host BBQs, gather around the fire pit, take long family walks to the park and have an occasional girls night out.

Favorite Movie:  Depending on my mood Elf, Good Will Hunting or Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Dogs or Cats?  Neither, I’m a baby person!

Favorite Holiday:  Mardi Gras.
