nap-nanny-recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and four major retailers are announcing a voluntary recall to consumers who own Nap Nanny® recliners made by Baby Matters, LLC of Berwyn, Pa.

Retailers currently participating include Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, Diapers.com and Toys R Us/Babies R Us. At the request of the CPSC, these retailers have agreed to voluntarily participate because the manufacturer is unable or unwilling to participate in the recall.

If you ever get this (or a sleep wedge positioner, or an electronic ear thermometer, or the dozens of other useless gadgets marketed to new parents) at a baby shower or as a gift, you might want to take it back to the store and buy something useful.  If you can get cash back for the item, that would even be better.  You could use it to start your child’s college fund.  The Nap Nanny costs $130!  That would be a great start!
