Dr. Djokic attended medical school at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and her residency was completed at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. Most recently, she was a Pediatrician for 8 years at Primary Health Care Services in Rankin, Braddock, and West End. She has over 10 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at both the University of Pittsburgh and Stony Brook Hospital and Medical Center in New York. Dr. Djokic has special interest in pediatric infectious disease and preventative care.

 Dr. Djokic is originally from Belgrade, Serbia and now lives in Wexford with her husband and three children. Rounding out the family is their cat, Cookie. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, and cooking.

Additional Information

Alexa Pappan has been working in Pediatrics her entire career and holds multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Robert Morris University and a Pediatric Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  Alexa and her husband have four young children who keep them very busy! Alexa enjoys watching her kids play sports, skiing, and traveling.

Graduate Degree: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Carlow University
Nursing Background: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 6 years prior to FNP pediatric position
Special Interests: Newborns, Breastfeeding/Lactation Support, all child wellness care

Additional Information

Jen Turocy, CRNP, earned her Nurse Practitioner degree at Carlow University. Originally from central Pennsylvania, She now lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, one child and two cats.  In her spare time, Jen loves outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves animals and says that if she was not in the medical field, she would run a rescue animal farm.
