Superior Convenience

We have office hours six days a week.  If you feel your child needs to be seen by a doctor, please call early in the day so we can accommodate your scheduling requests.  Trained triage staff is available during office hours to discuss acute care concerns, routine child care questions, child development and other child care issues.

24-Hour Emergency Coverage

Trained pediatric triage nurses from Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh will guide you in case of an emergency and will contact our on-call pediatrician if needed. We ask that calls made after the office is closed be limited to true emergencies only.  Our answering service will contact one of our physicians for you. Please call our main office number to access the answering service.

Commitment to Special Needs

Our practice has been selected to participate in EPIC-IC (Educating Physicians in Community Integrated Care), a project using office-based change as the key to improving the care provided to Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN).  The project is a collaborative effort of the PA Department of Health Division of Special Health Care programs, family organizations and the PA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The mission of the program is to enhance the quality of life for CSHCN and their families.  We are very proud to have the opportunity to participate in this vital program and create a “medical home” for our CSHCN.

Our office is also participating in a project with the PA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics to improve transition of care for youth and young adults.  Click here to see our policy.

Commitment to Quality Patient Care and Safety

Our staff is committed to quality patient care and safety, which includes staying current on emergency preparedness training and providing an AED (automatic external defibrillator) in our offices.

Lactation Consultant Services

Chartiers/McMurray  has a physician, Dr. Wendy Bacdayan, who is a board certified lactation consultant.  Lactation consultants can aid mothers in initiating breastfeeding and offer insight regarding breastfeeding complications.  This service is offered by appointment at both our Chartiers and McMurray locations and provides mothers with one-on-one time to help with any difficulties or concerns associated with breastfeeding.
