Clean water is the most important natural resource Earth provides to its living inhabitants — more precious than gold and silver, more useful than coal, or oil, or natural gas. Clean air is a close second. The necessity of clean water trumps any other need that living things have. It is vital that we don’t take what is so important for our collective health and survival for granted.
