AHN Pediatrics is proud to offer the below complimentary classes. Please see below for upcoming class sessions. Currently all of our class sessions are being held on Zoom. Class registrations must be submitted by noon the day prior to the class session. Same day registration is not available.
New and expectant moms and dads can come meet the pediatrician and go over baby basics. This class will cover information including what to expect in the hospital, common concerns and questions, how to manage a crying child, and other useful hints to help you prepare and enjoy the new addition to your family. The class is free and provides an opportunity to meet our physicians and ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere.

Journey to Table Foods
Starting solids can be scary! There is so much information about what to feed baby, when to feed baby, and how to feed baby, that it can be overwhelming. This fun and informative discussion, led by a licensed dietician/nutritionist and Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, will help you understand the role of complimentary foods in your baby’s first year of life and navigate the best feeding choices for your baby and family.
Like any new skill, breastfeeding is a learned art and takes practice and preparedness to be successful. Expectant moms and their partners can meet with a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and gain knowledge on how to successfully initiate breastfeeding from day one. Topics include information on steps to take before the delivery of your new addition, tips on infant positioning and latch-on, what to expect in the hospital and when transitioning to home, and common concerns and questions regarding breastfeeding.
