Family Circus by Bil and Jeff Keane (

Back in February we began preparing high school seniors and college students for today’s main event by encouraging them to register to vote and providing links to obtain an absentee ballot should they be living away from home on November 8.

In August, we saw this election as an opportunity to “AdVOcaTE For Kids” by focusing on the issues surrounding child poverty. We also saw the American Academy of Pediatrics urging members to “Vote Kids” as we considered the psychological impact of what children were seeing and hearing about this election. A month later, the AAP condensed its concerns down to four issues: poverty, gun violence, access to care, and investing in children.

November 8 is here. Don’t forget the kids. It’s time to vote.
